Julie's Surgery

I had surgery yesterday around 2:30 p.m. to remove a cyst from my right ovary. The doctor said the surgery went very well and he was able to save the ovary and did not have to remove it. Praise God! Today I am VERY VERY sore. It is almost impossible to go from laying down to sitting up without help. I also have a hard time going from standing to sitting and I can not stand up straight. The doctor has me on good pain medication, so if this doesn't make sense that's why! I LOVE narcotics! HA HA!!

Also, on much happier note, Brennan starting crawling this week. I have it on video but just haven't had time to put it up on the blog.

Thank you for praying for me!

New Pajamas

Both boys needed new pajamas and I couldn't help but take pictures of them after their bath this evening. They looked and smelled so sweet!

Boys will be boys. They just had to get in some wrestle time before bedtime.

Watch out Xan, Brennan will likely be twice your size in a few years.

Brennan's First Haircut

Before

After

I have heard that there is an old wives tale that says you are not supposed to cut african american children's hair until after their first birthday. I tried to wait, but it was becoming too much to manage because of the tangles.

Day at the Beach

My sister, brother-in-law, and their three kids came for a visit and we went to the beach. We had so much fun! I left Brennan with a friend, he wouldn't have enjoyed a day at the beach at his age.

You might notice the death grip I have on Xan's hand, it was the only way I could get him to stand there and let the waves crash into him.

So much fun is exhausting!

Soakin' Up The Sun

We have had unseasonably warm tempertures the past few weeks which has made the pool extra refreshing.

Happy Father's Day

Daddy is gone to Puerto Rico and we we are missing him very much! Here are a few reasons we love him:

he works very hard so mommy can stay home with us, helps us sneak up on mommy and scare her, kills the bugs, mows the grass, takes us on adventures, loves the Lord, teaches us how to pray, rides stinky camels at the zoo, puts us to bed, and comes home at night so mommy doesn't go insane.

We love you soooo much!

Knoxville Zoo

Bucky performed a wedding for a friend in Knoxville a couple of weeks ago. We spent the weekend with Bucky's sister, brother-in-law and parents. His parents drove in from Nashville to take care of the boys. We had Sunday morning free and decided to take the boys to the zoo. Brennan slept pretty much the whole time we were at the zoo, that is why there are not any pictures of him.

Daddy and Xan's first time on a camel. We were shocked that Xan actually got on the camel because he is so apprehensive about everything.

Xan was mesmerized by the otters swimming and playing in the water.

I love this picture!
