It's Been A Long Time...

Since my last post, I (Julie) have completely healed from my surgery, Xan started preschool (and loves it) and Brennan has started feeding himself and pulling up on everything. Here are a few pictures of our family vacation. (The picture quality on this and the following two posts are not very good. We misplaced our digital camera for a while and had to use disposable cameras.)

Julie's Surgery

I had surgery yesterday around 2:30 p.m. to remove a cyst from my right ovary. The doctor said the surgery went very well and he was able to save the ovary and did not have to remove it. Praise God! Today I am VERY VERY sore. It is almost impossible to go from laying down to sitting up without help. I also have a hard time going from standing to sitting and I can not stand up straight. The doctor has me on good pain medication, so if this doesn't make sense that's why! I LOVE narcotics! HA HA!!

Also, on much happier note, Brennan starting crawling this week. I have it on video but just haven't had time to put it up on the blog.

New Pajamas

Both boys needed new pajamas and I couldn't help but take pictures of them after their bath this evening. They looked and smelled so sweet!








Boys will be boys. They just had to get in some wrestle time before bedtime.


Watch out Xan, Brennan will likely be twice your size in a few years.

I have heard that there is an old wives tale that says you are not supposed to cut african american children's hair until after their first birthday. I tried to wait, but it was becoming too much to manage because of the tangles.

Day at the Beach

My sister, brother-in-law, and their three kids came for a visit and we went to the beach. We had so much fun! I left Brennan with a friend, he wouldn't have enjoyed a day at the beach at his age.






You might notice the death grip I have on Xan's hand, it was the only way I could get him to stand there and let the waves crash into him.


So much fun is exhausting!
